Baskonia defeated Barcelona 69-67, winning the Spanish 1st Basketball League (ACB) in the 2019-2020 season.
The tournament, which was organized for the first time due to the Covid-19 outbreak, featured two group matches in valencia on 17-30 June between the top 12 teams in the league rankings.
Barcelona and Baskonia faced the final after Real Madrid were eliminated from the group.
Baskonia led 17-16 in the first period of the match and closed the half behind 39-33. The Basque team, who played superior in the third period, entered the last quarter with a 51-51 tie.
The teams entered the final 10 seconds of the match 67-67 with 3 seconds left in the game, Luca Vildoza’s basket 69-67 advantage baskonia won the match after a 10-year absence.
Barcelona’s Thomas Heurtel scored 21 points, while Vildoza, who won the title to Baskonia and scored 17 points, became the most valuable player of the final.
Baskonia, who left Besiktas and came to Spain, won his 4th title in The ACB history.
