The International Association of Football Associations (FIFA) has given former Deputy Secretary-General Markus Kattner a 10-year ban and a fine of 1 million Swiss francs.
FIFA said in a statement that Kattner was found guilty by the Ethics Committee for helping former FIFA President Sepp Blatter and senior executives raise their salaries by millions of dollars and get bonuses.
Markus Kattner was fined 1 million Swiss francs within 30 days of misconduct.
Kattner, 49, a senior fifa executive for 13 years, was removed from his post in 2016 after the administration changed.
Former FIFA President Blatter, former FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke and Kattner’s salary hike segregated nearly $80 million between 2011 and 2015 on various grounds such as salary hikes, bonuses and
bonuses were launched in 2016.
