The previous week we met with our president Ali Koç, vice president Semih Özsoy and our general manager Maurizio Gherardini. After the negotiations, we agreed with them to make decisions by spending time in my family environment. I made one of the last decisions of my life with my family and decided to take a year off coaching.
After seven very good years, I would like to thank our former president, Mr. Aziz Yildirim, our current president, Mr. Ali Koç, our deputy chairman, Mr. Semih Özsoy, and the administration for their support.

It was a great honor and happiness for me to be part of a big club like Fenerbahce. This situation , a start for Fenerbahce, is not an end. I’m sure our fans will support the club in the process and have the opportunity to celebrate the great sporting achievements as they used to be.
